The Parents’ Dances are another Spotlight Dance which occurs either right-after the First Dance, or right after Dinner. Sometimes they also occur in between dinner courses. The Parents’ Dances usually include a special dance with the Bride and Her Father, followed by the Groom and His Mother. Just like the First Dance, these Dances, too, can be shortened. The typical length for each Parents‘ Dance is about 2-3 minutes. If one of the parents is deceased, sometimes there will be no Parent Dances or the Bride or Groom will dance with their sibling or close relative (Uncle, Aunt, Cousin) instead.
